What model powers JHS AI?
A GPT-4-class large language model with a UK-recruitment-specific fine-tuned scoring layer on top. The scoring model is calibrated quarterly on real placement outcomes and bias-audited independently.
Is my data used to train the model?
No. Customer data is never used to train the public model. We do use anonymised, aggregated placement outcomes (with explicit opt-in) to calibrate scoring fairness — never to train generative behaviour.
How accurate are the scores?
Scores above 92 convert to hire 3.1× more often than scores below 75 in our UK dataset. Full model performance metrics are available on request with our model card.
How do you handle bias?
All AI carries some bias. We audit ours quarterly via an independent third party across UK protected characteristics, publish the results, and document corrective actions. We don't claim "bias-free" — we claim "audited and improving".
Is it EU AI Act compliant?
Built around EU AI Act obligations for high-risk employment AI: documented purpose, risk assessment, ongoing bias monitoring, human oversight, and candidate transparency rights under UK GDPR Article 22.
Can candidates challenge a decision?
Yes. Every candidate can request the reasons for their score, request human review, and contest the outcome — standard under UK GDPR and our internal policy.
